JTSoftstone Shower Tray Cleaning Guide

The unique Aqua Cushion texture of the JTSoftstone® shower tray is designed to provide exceptional comfort underfoot. To preserve its appearance, performance, and distinctive feel, it is important to use suitable cleaning products and follow the recommended maintenance guidelines outlined below.

Cleaning After Installation

To remove any remaining adhesive, cement, mortar, or installation residues, we recommend using a standard sanitary cleaner or white vinegar.

Important:

• Do not scrub the surface aggressively.
• Allow the cleaning product to act for a few minutes before rinsing.
• Rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water.

Do not use:

• Abrasive pads
• Solvents
• Strong alkalis
• Acids
• Abrasive cleaning products

Failure to follow these guidelines may damage the surface finish.

Routine Cleaning

For regular cleaning, use only mild bathroom cleaning products and neutral detergents. A soft brush may be used occasionally to remove surface dirt and debris where necessary.

Important Guidelines

• Avoid prolonged exposure to cleaning agents.
• Always rinse the shower tray thoroughly with clean water immediately after cleaning.
• For best results, rinse at least twice using plenty of water.

Removing Grease and Stubborn Stains

Degreasing and Stain Removal

For ingrained dirt, grease, and stubborn stains, apply a suitable degreasing stain remover containing:

• More than 5% non-ionic surfactants
• Less than 5% polycarboxylates

Apply the product locally to the affected area and leave for several hours if required. Gently rub the area and always rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water afterwards.

Textile Stain Removers

Products such as Vanish Oxi Action may be used under the following conditions:

• Maximum contact time: 1 hour
• Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water immediately after use

Pet Stain Removers

Products such as Vanish Pet Expert may be used under the following conditions:

• Maximum contact time: 2 hours
• Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water immediately after use

Grout Haze and Limescale Removal

Grout Haze Removers

Products such as LTP Grout Haze Remover can be used for:

• End-of-installation cleaning
• Removal of stubborn dirt and residues

After application, gently rub the surface if required and rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water.

Hard Water Areas

For routine maintenance in hard water areas, white vinegar is suitable for removing light limescale deposits and maintaining the appearance of the tray

Products Not Suitable for Use

Chlorine-Based Cleaners and Bleach

Chlorinated cleaning products and bleaches, including products such as Cillit Bang Black Mould Remover, must not be used on JTSoftstone® shower trays.

All chlorine-based products are prohibited, as they may cause permanent colour changes and damage to the surface finish.

Hair Dyes and Strongly Pigmented Product

Avoid contact with hair dyes, colouring agents, and other strongly pigmented substances, as these may stain the surface.

If accidental contact occurs:

1. Rinse the affected area immediately.
2. Use plenty of clean water.
3. Do not allow the substance to remain on the surface.
